11/12 All-Stars Advance to District 44 Title Game
Highlighted by Tommy Hudson's three (3) run homers and 4 shutout innings by Jimmy Pimental Westside crused to a 13-0 win over Briarwood and advance to the District 44 Title game vs. Los Altos Little League at Mountain View LL on Saturday. Game time is at 10:00am. If Westside is to win their first Major All-Star Championship in 60 years they will need to beat Los Altos on Saturday and then again on Sunday.
11/12 All-Stars Win Big on Wednesday

Game Highlights:
After a scoreless top of the first, Willy McMullen of Campbell started the scoring with a home run to centerfield.
In the second inning Westside answered by loading the bases with 2 walks, a fielder’s choice and an error. Eric Mendonca was hit by a pitch to force in a run. Jimmy Pimental followed with a bases clearing double.
In the bottom of the second inning Campbell loaded the bases on a walk and single by Niall Manning and Branden Engel. With 2 outs Anthony Robbins drew a walk to force in a run, but Tommmy Hudson closed out the inning with a strike out leaving the bases loaded.
In the top of the third inning James Detweiler led off with a double. After loading the bases on an error and a walk sandwiched around two outs, Joe Cowan hit a single scoring Pimental. However, Jacob Paras got the next batter to hit into a fielder’s choice ending the inning and leaving the bases loaded.
In the bottom of the third inning Nick Meyer drew a walk and Jeremy Ydens singled him to second, but both runners were stranded as Hudson retired the next three batters.
Westside broke the game open in the top of the fourth inning by scoring 5 runs on 4 hits. Jimmy Pimental hit his second double of the game. With one out James Detwieler got an infield single and Santino Delgado was hit by a pitch. Jake Marinex followed with an RBI single and an error allowed a second run to score.With 2 outs Vinnie Santiago drew a walk and Bruce Grizzle followed with a single to drive in 2 more runs. The fifth run scored on a passed ball.
Campbell tried to rally in the bottom of the fourth with Kale Pagan drawing a walk followed by singles by Willy McMullen and Anthony Robbins to load the bases. Dan Speciale hit a sacrifice fly to center to score 1 run and a passed ball allowed a second to score, but that was all Campbell could score.
In the top of the fifth inning Westside finished the scoring by chalking up 4 more runs on only one hit, a double by Jake Martinez.
Next up, Westside will take on Briarwood tomorrow at Moreland Little League at 5:30pm. This will be their 3rd game in 3 days. A win on Thursday, and the 11/12 All-Stars will advance to play in Saturday's District 44 Major All-Stars Championship. Sign up to Twitter to get scoring updates.
9/10 WIN AND ADVANCE INTO DISTRICT 44 TITLE GAME
Thanks to a 10-2 win over Mountain View Little League, Westside's 9/10 All-Star team will defend it's crown on Saturday, July 11th at 2:00pm at Serra Little League vs. TBD.
10/11 ALL-STARS LOSE TO CAMPBELL
The 10/11 All-Stars dropped a 11-4 decision to Campbell at Campbell in the 3rd round of the tournament and have been eliminated from the tournament.

Recap:
SC Westside won the coin flip and elected to be the home team. After keeping Campbell off the scoreboard in the top of the first inning, SC Westside jumped to an early 2-run lead following a leadoff single by #5 Kennedy and another single by #13 Espinosa, both of whom crossed the plate following a two-out error in the infield. SC Westside struck again for three runs in the bottom of the third inning through a combination of walks, timely singles, an error and a few passed balls. # 10 Santos kept Campbell off the board for four innings, throwing no-hit baseball until he left the mound with 75 pitches thrown. The Campbell offense came alive in the fifth inning, scoring three runs of their own as the lead-off hitter reached on an error, and then was followed by a barrage of singles. SC Westside’s defense tightened up with two on base and closed out the inning with a flyout to left and a strikeout. Campbell scored a final run in the sixth inning, but came up short as SC Westside snuffed out the late-inning rally with a throw-out at third base and solid defense. Both teams should be commended on a game well played!

Recap:
Tri-Cities won the coin flip and elected to be the home team. SC Westside jumped to an early lead with a triple, a double and a single to start off the game. With one run across the dish and two men on, #4 James Detweiler jumped on a 1-2 count pitch and went yard with a three-run blast.
In all, SC Westside struck for 6 runs in the top of the first. Tri-Cities managed to get their lead-off batter on base with a walk, and was successful in getting him across the plate with a number of pass balls, but this would prove to be their only run of the contest. SC Westside extended their lead in the second inning, including a two-run jack by #18 Santino Delgado. In the third inning, SC Westside loaded the bases with two HBP and one walked batter, setting the stage for a grand slam round-tripper by #19 Tommy Hudson, who sent his offering over the trees in centerfield.
When all was said and done, SC Westside put 20 runs across the plate, and utilized 6 different pitchers who combined for 8 K's over a total of 15 batters faced. Tri-Cities played hard throughout the contest and were gracious in defeat.

Game Highlights:
The game between Metro and Westside was close until the 4th inning. Westside broke it open in the 4th with three runs highlighted by a tripe from Ben Champion. Jaren Washington kept Metro off the board to seal the win.
Westside now faces Santa Clara Homestead on July 2nd at Moreland LL at 5:30pm
11/12 ALL-STARS KNOCK OFF TRI-CITIES
The 11/12 All-Stars knock off Tri-Cities Little League yesterday and now move on to take on Mountain View Little League here at Westside on Wednesday, July 1st at 5:30pm.
U8 All-Stars Take 3rd in Future Stars Tournament
Westside's U8 All-Stars came away with 3rd place in this weekends Westside Future Stars Tournament. The Warriors were 2 outs away from the Championship game when Cambrian Little League scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th in the Semi-Final game. Westside was down by 5 going into the 6th inning but Westside sent 10 batters to the plate and scored 6 runs to take the lead. This was Westside's third game of the day and 5th of the two day tournament. Earlier in the day, Westside beat Hillsboro LL in the first round and then knocked off rival Campbell Little League in the Quarter Finals to reach the Semi-Final game. A great effort despite near 100 degree weather on both days. Next up for the U8 All-Stars is the Cambrian tournament on July 13th.

Highlights:
SC Westside started the scoring in the 2nd when Manny Espinosa singled with one out. He was moved to 2nd on a walk to Tyler Farnham, moved to 3rd on a pased ball and scored on a second passed ball.
In the top of the 4th inning Jack Santos led off with a double, George Ellegood followed wth a walk, both runners mmoved up on a passed ball. Manny Espinosa followed with a single scoring both runners. An error and two assed balls allowed Manny Espinosa to score. SC Westside loaded the bases with one out, but was unable to score any more runs.
In the bottom of the 4th inning Josh Radin lead off with a single. With two outs Jack Maloney singled. After a walk to Justin Kramer, Matt Truscott singled to bring in Los Altos' first run. Kyle Stabler followed with a walk to bring the second run of the inning for Los Altos.
In the top of the 6th inning Jared Washington walked with one out and ended up scoring on a passed ball. Maxwell Heverly hit a hard drive that was mishandled by the Los Altos second baseman. Maxwell advanced to third on a fielders choice hit by Andrew Kennedy. Chris Boccignone followed with an RBI single. Jack Santos followed with his second double of the game scoring Andrew and moving Chris to third. George Ellegood hit an infield single that loaded the bases with one out. Manny Espinosa grounded into a force out at home leaving the bases loaded with 2 outs. Sam Leahy followed with a walk scoring Jack Santos. Tyler Farnham hit a ball to third base that resulted in a bases clearing error. After the dust settled SC Westside had scored 7 runs.
In the bottom of the 6th inning Adam Rosen got a one single, but he was stranded at first base to end the game.

An RBI by Campbell's Jacob Paras in the 4th inning increased Cambpell's lead to 9-4. THe RBI br Jacob Paras proved to be the winning run. Westside fought back in the 5th and 6th with 4 runs, but fell short by 1 run.
